Lets say I have been around the world and back again, and have had many great memories and experiences. Perhaps 1987 through 1989 were the best.
Let me post some back ground, I went into the Army at age 18 and retired at age 38 in 1972.
During that 20 years, I was in Korea twice, Germany twice and back to Korea again. During most of that period my first wife and I raised 6 great kids (Boys) and they all grew up and had families for that I am proud but that's not the story.
This is the story, My present wife and I were married in March 1981 and soon moved to Lake Charles, La for a Helicopter company. We bought property and a mobile home and settled in for what we thought would be a great future. I worked there for 5 years, we took the usual trips and vacations. We saw my wife's son and daughter graduate from High School and College on the same day that's hard to do but it got done.
In 1986 my job had become a real pain and was not fun any longer so I left there and went out on my own, Well that was not a really good idea and Jobs were really scarce. In December of 86 I got a call and they ask me if I was interested in going to El Salvador? Not knowing anything, I said yes. In January of 87 I packed up and left, My wife would follow me in four months.
As with most people, it takes skill to write, I didn't excell in that in High School so I will continue this later, I promise I'll try to be more interesting. LATER
My thoughts this morning over a cup of coffee!
